Rain Songs

Ok so I was listening to "Hands Across the Water" by Paul McCartney and I realized that the first half of it is a great rain song, especially since you can hear rain in the background. Thought maybe we could have a post for rain songs... or maybe not, it's probably a bad idea...

not a bad idea at all. it's great. especially for those people that aren't in the improv class or haven't brought in a song yet. and even for those that have, it'd be good to have all the song thoughts in one place.

i'm going to have to listen to Hands Across the Water before i can comment any further since i don't know that i've heard it before.

Are we talking songs that are literally about rain, or just ones that can fit somehow into the play (like the ones we used in class)?

we're talking all songs that fit into the world of the play.

that sounds like a boss song niems. I am actually surprised with the music that has been brought into class...I literally loved every song we heard last week, and people really seem to know what will be perfect for the play. I am still at a loss for what to bring in...but I do know of one song that had a good verse for the Saga of Sam and Noelle:

She says...maybe it's over
He says...there's plenty more fish in the sea
I say...please don't go away
From me

I don't think the rest of the song is really about that, but that passage is the chorus, so it may be fitting.
