Fencing
So I was thinking about the fight that Noelle and Sam get into and I was trying to figure out how they could actually come to fight with snorkels in a fencing fashion when I had a thought. Perhaps Sam, who was walking home in the rain with his parapluie arrives at Noelles house. Noelle gets upset after talking with him and draws her own umbrella and tries to hit him with it. He blocks the attack and then the battle begins! Just a thought, take what you will from it.

I like that idea a lot.
I like this, Danny. A very natural way to get into the fight.
I'm not sure yet, but I think I might be looking for a less natural approach... one that is a little over the top. Like, what if Noelle shows up for the express purpose of fencing with Sam? What if the winner is forced to decide the outcome of their relationship? What if Noelle is dressed in her fencing jacket and has a light saber and Sam is in his dad's wet suit (because Rainboy convinced him to try sitting in the rain)? How do they start fencing then?
Well I'll tell you how it should be done. So we've got Noelle here in her fencing jacket and she sort of approaches from behind. "Hello Sam" She says. Sam who hadn't really been paying attention suddenly looks up and out, he knows what's coming. There is a short pause as he plans his first move. "Why are you here Noelle?" He asks as he turns to face her. "You know why I'm here. We need to end this," She does the little flicky thing that is necessary to get the plastic saber thing out, "Now..." Sam throws down his snorkel. "I don't want to fight anymore, Noelle. I don't want us to fall into this hole that we've dug for ourselves." Sam points her lightsaber at him threateningly "It is unavoidable. There is no hope for us." "Very well" Sam replies "If you will not join me, you will be destroyed!" Using the Force he grabs the snorkel from the ground and attacks Noelle. There are hand to hand conflicts. During the fight, Noelle loses her grip on the lightsaber. It falls to the floor and Sam steps up to her and places his snorkel under her chin. "Your feelings betray you, Noelle. I can feel the conflict" "There is no conflict!" Sam knocks his snorkel out of the way, does a little roll and grabs her lightsaber. This time Noelle attacks. They fight some more until finally Sam hits Noelle in the arm with his snorkel. "Ow! Jeez, Sam that hurt!" Sam drops his snorkel and immedietly goes up to comfort her. "Jeez, I'm sorry, are you ok?" he hold her arm and comforts her. "Yeah, I'm fine" she replies. "You sure you're ok?" The get very close. She looks into Sam's eyes. "I am now" They kiss. Roll the credits.
That of course, is just one interperatation. Maybe you don't want them to get together in the end? If you want, Darth Va- I mean Noelle could win the fight.
Ooh! What if Sam lops off Noelles legs and she catches on fire? Actually no, that's a bad idea, it could never work on stage. But maybe in a movie... Hmmm, I think I see a major motion picture in this scene's future.
Ooh, and we should slip the line "E chuta!" Somewhere in there. I don't know what it means but I know that C-3P0 was offended when he heard it.
